Is it time to reign in public union political contributions? Assembly Republican Leader Jon Bramnick thinks so. He said on October 14th ,“that the state teachers union has mounted expensive campaigns against candidates from his party — not to improve the situation in schools, but to save their own pensions.” He is quite right and it disturbs me very much that a public workers union can and does wield so much political power. John Boehner’s sudden decision to leave tells the American public that this job is a political time bomb that could result in a schism for the Republican Party. Student Athletes Ignore Pain

Do our student athletes ignore pain to continue to stay in to play? Evan Murray of Warren Hills Regional High School died after being tackled in a football game on Friday, September 25th. There were medical professionals in attendance standing by during the game to render any help that was needed. Thus, it was not for the lack of having these people there that Evan died.
