If Only

If only Putin wanted peace instead of eternal war. Then tranquility would rule the land.

If only the Russian people could see for themselves the real truth and be free of Putin’s untruthful words. May their blindfolds be lifted and they be gifted with love and understanding.

If only Hamas would be satisfied with the farmland they have instead of creating a hinterland of terror!

If only if the Palestinian people would see beyond their own limited horizon. And not look upon their unprincipled expansion upon their neighbor’s lands as fact.

If only Iran’s extremest clerics could put aside their hate of all things not Muslim. But, instead see that the customs of the Western and Eastern religions are not something to be seen as evil. Nor as something that should cause upheaval.

If only those who hate for hate’s sake. Would instead obligate themselves into looking for the good in each person. Instead of just gestating their own twisted abhorrence of others because of a burning repugnance of someone else’s beliefs.

If only respect and understanding, harmony and even possibly love could radiate throughout our universe. So humankind could become closer to the divine. Whichever their belief they may hold. May this be a sign of things to come and for hope to shine forth for all.

If only hate were subjugated by peace. Would the world be a better place, then maybe war might cease to be.

If only you reading this, would be as moved as I am by writing this. Then the road to peace would result in all the peoples of this planet being fused together in a movement for tranquility and humility.

If only these watchwords would radiate away all the negativity throughout all lands of our planet. ‘Proclaim Liberty throughout all the Land Unto all the inhabitants thereof.- Leviticus 25:10’ You can find this on the Liberty Bell. May it someday become true for all of our very blue world.
