A Hanukkah Poem

A Hanukkah Poem

By Jumpin Jersey Mike Copyrite December 2024

On the first night of Hanukkah my family gave to me… a bag full of chocolate gelt. It would be a pity not to eat it before they melt.

On the second night of Hanukkah my family gave to me… a large dreidel full of festive cookies. Oh, what great goodies they are!

On the third night of Hanukkah my family gave to me… a box full of books. I would have preferred to get some Lox!

On the fourth night of Hanukkah my family gave to me… a key. Oh, what could it be? That they gave me a key for.

On the fifth night of Hanukkah my family said to me… “Use the key to open the box next to thee.” It contained a very nice bottle of Chablis.

On the sixth night of Hanukkah my family said to me… “Here is some bling.” It was a very nice ring.

On the seventh night of Hanukkah my family gave to me… a beautiful coat for my lapdog named Maude.

On the eighth night of Hanukkah my family turned to me… and said “Where are all of the gifts for us?” I said “I thought you didn’t want me to make a fuss.” They all shouted back “What a wuss!”

So on the eight night of Hanukkah my family had made a fuss and called me a wuss. Then and there I vowed never to be selfish again. Thus, I went to many stores after doing many chores without a fuss.
To give back the love they gave to me.

That is my opinion- Jumpin Jersey Mike
