People have been asking from time to time for me to update everyone on what is happening with my situation. Well the news is not so good and right now I am feeling a little down.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As of this July 11th<\/sup> my power and gas service will be shutoff if I do not pay the utility at least $176.00. I had to reapply as a new applicant for LIHEAP and USF back in the early Fall of 2015 because of a foul-up by the social services department. When I called to find out where my renewal forms were I was told that it was too late to renew and that I had to send in an application as a new applicant. And when I filled out all the paperwork it took till March of 2016 to get back to me to inform me that they needed additional information.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then in April I was notified that the letter from my friend telling then about him lending me money was not satisfactory. I had him redo it per the letter that they had sent me and for the third time today he had to write another letter to satisfy their requirements. They keep changing what they want and how they want the information worded or supplied.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It would be kind of funny, but for the fact that I desperately need my application approved right now and the monies disbursed to the power and gas utility. I have contacted my state Assemblyman in an effort to get my application approved and he is trying, but this situation is ridiculous.<\/span><\/p>\n

The agency doing the processing of the application seems to be very overloaded and does not communicate what they need very well. My level of frustration is becoming intolerable and it is causing me much grief. I have looked into other avenues of aid \u00a0and find that there seems to be none that will help me pay my gas and electric bill so that they do not shut me off. I had looked into NJ Shares<\/a>, but because of the fact that my income level is not high enough, I can not apply for emergency financial relief. And I will not ask my friend for money as I think I have leaned on our friendship too much already.<\/span><\/p>\n

My main source of income is selling on items on eBay and this also causes me problems with these agencies as my income varies greatly from month to month. I sell on eBay because so far I have not found a job and so I do not have to rely on the government as much if I did not sell on eBay. I feel it is better to do something that I can do rather than do nothing and collect money from the government. My problem with my knees is better, but I am still limited to what I can do.<\/span><\/p>\n

What I am looking for in a job situation is to be a writer. Maybe writing descriptions for eBay\/Amazon sellers or creating instruction manuals and like or writing a blog for money. I am actively looking and hope that I will find a job that works the best for my employer and myself. Not working is not an option for me and it is something that I need to do to live and be happy.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the mean time I might put up a Fund Me page early next week to try to raise enough money to prevent my gas and electric from being shut off. Will depend if I make any big sales this weekend.

Hoping that no one else is in a situation without few or no alternatives like me.<\/span><\/p>\n

Update 7\/13\/2016<\/span><\/p>\n

A friend stepped in and lent me the minimum amount to prevent the shutting off of my gas and electric. I really did not want him to do that, after all he is not a bank.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

No one even gave a dollar to my GoFundme campaign.<\/span><\/p>\n

I have started a GoFundMe campaign<\/a> to help prevent the shutoff of my gas and electric.<\/span><\/p>\n
