This was done by a man who tries to come across as a man for everyone, not just for Republicans or Democrats.

But the governor’s big problem seems to be caused by himself, being so belligerent with those who disagree with him does not endear Christie to any one. His bull dog type personality has abraded too many fellow politicians and made him the target of Democrats nationwide.

That is why he lost his only chance at the Presidency and his own viewpoints have blinded him to what he really needs to be. Christie needed to be someone who responded to the needs and wants of the people of New Jersey. But, somehow he has become a political animal that only cares about what the lobbyists want or need and the only time he was held in high esteem by many was when a disaster hit New Jersey. And the promises he made at that time never came true, making him look even worse than if he had never made them.

Donald Trump was savvy enough to see that all that Christie cares about is Chris Christie. As Trump’s transition team leader he packed it with cronies without thought to how it could hurt Trump. And when Trump found out he tossed Christie and friends out into the gutter, not a good place to end up in.

His approval rating is now 21 percent and how effective can he really be with so many people who want him to step down? Per NJ.com “Seventy-two percent of registered voters, including 52 percent of Republicans surveyed, said they disapprove of the Republican governor is doing in the Garden State, a Fairleigh Dickinson University PublicMind poll released Wednesday found. The poll declared these the worst approval and disapproval ratings for Christie “ever.” “Apparently we’ve not yet found the floor for the governor’s approval among voters in the state,” said PublicMind Director Krista Jenkins. Jenkins suggested the governor has been tarnished by the ongoing George Washington Bridge lane closure scandal trial, in which a former Port Authority executive and Christie’s one-time deputy chief of staff are accused of shutting down several local toll lanes as an act of political retribution.” With his rating so low, why does he not realize that it is time to step down and fade away from public life?

Well I do not know how we could have been so stupid to have reelected him to a second term. Maybe it is because Christie did not show his true self until he began his run for the Presidency. The governor seems only to only respond to those who will pander to his political wants and needs. He now is nakedly pursuing the almighty dollar by trying to bribe the New Jersey Legislature into allowing him to make money by making a book deal while in office. He has to have New Jersey law changed to do this and Christie does not seem to care what the people who elected him think of doing this. Is money now more important than some veneer of political integrity?
