For some time now I have been thinking about getting a new Central Heating and Cooling system so I thought that I would talk about that today.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I knew that I might need a new Central A\/C system for my condo even before I moved in and I recently confirmed that I do indeed need one as it does not work at all. And upon further inspection of the heating system I came to discover that it is over 30 years old. Plus I was told by one of the companies I contacted for a quote for a new replacement that this heater had been recalled and should have been tested to see if it is safe to use.<\/span><\/p>\n

That was quite a surprise to me, thank God for CO detectors. As far as I can tell mine is safe to use for the CO detector in the utility room never went off and none of the others that I have either. It is so wonderful that you can buy a home \u201cAs is\u201d without any thought to the fact that something that is part of it might be dangerous!<\/span><\/p>\n

I so far have gotten three quotes from installers that range from about just under $7000.00 to over $17,000.00. It makes me wonder what is in these units, maybe gold?<\/span><\/p>\n

Will get more quotes because I just do not seem to have found the right match and no it does not have to be perfect. All I want is a system that works, is reliable and does not cost too much. After all I do not want to spend more money on repairs in the near time future nor find out that parts are not available to fix it when that inevitable time comes and I know it will!<\/span><\/p>\n

So on I go in search of that one system that I can get, just like that fabled man searching for knowledge. In my case I just want a damn Heating and Cooling system! This is not rocket science or is it?<\/span><\/p>\n

Why is it always so hard to find the right thing (item) and it never just falls into your preverbal lap? Oh well such is life, nothing comes easy and money flows out of your pocket like water these days.<\/span><\/p>\n

So on with my search and hopefully I will find my match soon, hopefully before I burn up from the heat and humidity!<\/span><\/p>\n
