Here is my version of President Trump’s ride on Christmas eve. Please note that no Democrats were injured nor any bill signed!<\/span><\/p>\n

So here it is-<\/span><\/p>\n

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the House of Representatives<\/span><\/p>\n

Not a politician was stirring, not even the Speaker of the House named Nancy;<\/span><\/p>\n

The impeachment papers were laid by the chimney with care,<\/span><\/p>\n

In hopes that The Donald soon would be there;<\/span><\/p>\n

The political pundits were nestled all snug in their beds;<\/span><\/p>\n

While visions of money bags danced in their heads;<\/span><\/p>\n

And Nancy Pelosi with her gavel, and I in my MAGA cap ready for space travel,<\/span><\/p>\n

Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s recess nap,<\/span><\/p>\n

When out on the floor there arose such a clatter,<\/span><\/p>\n

I sprang from my seat to see what was the matter.<\/span><\/p>\n

Away to the window I flew like a flash,<\/span><\/p>\n

Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.<\/span><\/p>\n

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow,<\/span><\/p>\n

Gave a lustre of midday to objects below,<\/span><\/p>\n

When what to my wondering eyes did appear,<\/span><\/p>\n

But President Trump in a golf cart pulled by eight tiny rein-deer,<\/span><\/p>\n

With a little flick of his so lively wrist did the cart go across the White House lawn,<\/span><\/p>\n

I knew in a moment he must be President T.<\/span><\/p>\n

More rapid than bald eagles his coursers they came,<\/span><\/p>\n

And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name:<\/span><\/p>\n

“Now, MAGA<\/i><\/em>! now, Crazy Joe<\/em>! now Wild Bill<\/em> and Heartless <\/i>Hillary<\/em>!<\/span><\/p>\n

On, Al Frankenstein <\/em>! on, Lyin’ Ted <\/em>! on, Slippery James Comey<\/em> and Boot-Edge-Edge <\/em>!<\/span><\/p>\n

To the top of the Capital! to the top of the southern border wall!<\/span><\/p>\n

Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!”<\/span><\/p>\n

As leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,<\/span><\/p>\n

When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky;<\/span><\/p>\n

So up to the capital rotunda the coursers they flew<\/span><\/p>\n

With the golf cart full of political tools, and some very foolish notions too\u2014<\/span><\/p>\n

And then, in a twinkling, I heard about the impeachment<\/span><\/p>\n

The prancing and pawing of each little burden of proof.<\/span><\/p>\n

As I drew in my head, and was turning around,<\/span><\/p>\n

Down the chimney Trump came with a bound.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was dressed all in Old Glory, from his head to his foot,<\/span><\/p>\n

And his clothes were all red, white and blue not even covered with a little soot;<\/span><\/p>\n

A sack full of bills he had flung on his back,<\/span><\/p>\n

And he looked like a politician just opening his bag of political skills.<\/span><\/p>\n

His eyes\u2014how they twinkled! his dimples, how merry!<\/span><\/p>\n

His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!<\/span><\/p>\n

His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,<\/span><\/p>\n

And the hair on his head was as white as the snow;<\/span><\/p>\n

I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself;<\/span><\/p>\n

A wink of his eye and a twist of his head<\/span><\/p>\n

Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;<\/span><\/p>\n

Just taxes and bills and other things that were not dead!<\/span><\/p>\n

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,<\/span><\/p>\n

And he created tweets on his phone; then turned on his own two feet to show me his latest tweet,<\/span><\/p>\n

And laying his finger aside of his nose,<\/span><\/p>\n

And giving a nod, up into the sky he rose;<\/span><\/p>\n

And away they all flew like a missile.<\/span><\/p>\n

But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight\u2014<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHappy Christmas to all, and to all a good Republicans a merry good night!\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Please understand that I make no political endorsement nor do I even own a MAGA cap. I just wrote the changes to that old poem “‘Twas the Night before Christmas” that came into my head!
\n<\/span><\/p>\n
