\"Iranian<\/a><\/p>\n

It is now the second decade of the 21st<\/sup> Century and already much has happened.<\/span><\/p>\n

Very early in the new year a terrorist leader from Iran, Qasem Soleimani, died in an drone attack<\/a>. He was the leader of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard and a very bad man. President Trump made the following remarks<\/a>, \u201cSoleimani was plotting imminent and sinister attacks on American diplomats and military personnel, but we caught him in the act and terminated him.<\/i>\u201d Furthermore, \u201cWe took action last night to stop a war.\u00a0 We did not take action to start a war.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

I have deep respect for the Iranian people.\u00a0 They are a remarkable people, with an incredible heritage and unlimited potential.\u00a0 We do not seek regime change.\u00a0 However, the Iranian regime\u2019s aggression in the region, including the use of proxy fighters to destabilize its neighbors, must end, and it must end now.<\/em>\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Shortly thereafter an Ukrainian civilian flight was shot down by Iran<\/a>. \u201cNew video has emerged, showing two Iranian missiles striking a Ukrainian jetliner last week, killing all 176 people on board. The first anti-aircraft missile can be seen traveling right to left across the screen. It explodes next to the plane, almost certainly piercing the fuselage with shrapnel.<\/i>\u201d And many blamed Trump<\/a> for the planes downing, \u201cPolitics is a dirty business. Blaming opponents is standard. But there comes a time when such finger-pointing is downright unpatriotic. Liberals crossed that line by trying to pin the downing of a Ukrainian passenger jet over Tehran on President Trump \u2014 a tragedy thousands of Iranian protesters blamed on the malicious ineptitude of their own leaders.<\/i>\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

And just before<\/a> the plane was shot down, \u201cIran struck back at the United States early Wednesday for killing a top Revolutionary Guards commander, firing a series of ballistic missiles at two military bases in Iraq housing American troops in a major escalation between the two longtime foes.<\/i>\u201d No American soldiers were killed and the attack reminds me of children having a temper tantrum.<\/span><\/p>\n

The politicos of course have come out of the woodwork with their accusations. They seem to not understand the separation of powers in Congress. Which safeguards our democracy. All they see is blood in the water and attack the President and everyone else that they can blame.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is time to step back and reevaluate what really has happened. Then we should move forward to make this world safer, not crazier.<\/span><\/p>\n
