He can not get over the idea of a Millionaire&#8217;s Tax and raising other taxes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northjersey.com\/story\/news\/new-jersey\/2020\/02\/25\/murphy-2021-budget-speech-millionaires-tax-nj-transit\/4824708002\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NorthJersey.com<\/a>, \u201c<i>Gov. Phil Murphy on Tuesday proposed a $40.9 billion budget that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.northjersey.com\/story\/news\/new-jersey\/2020\/02\/24\/nj-taxes-millionaires-tax-help-fix-nj-financial-woes\/4754525002\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">raises\u00a0taxes on millionaires<\/a>, cigarettes and guns while setting aside a record amount of money for NJ Transit \u2014 but he helps pay\u00a0for that by diverting money from other accounts, moves he has denounced as budget gimmickry.<\/i>\u201d And the bulwark that Steve Sweeney said he would be against the taxes the governor has proposed, has now changed his mind.<!--more--><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 18pt;\">And then Murphy has the nerve to say this, \u201c<i>&#8220;no other administration has done so much in its first two years to control property taxes,&#8221; a claim his predecessors would likely challenge. The late\u00a0Brendan Byrne\u00a0enacted the income tax, which must by law go solely to property tax relief. Jim McGreevey sent taxpayers rebates. Chris Christie signed a 2% cap on annual property tax increases.\u00a0<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 18pt;\"><i>Murphy hailed his overseeing the lowest and fourth-lowest year-over-year increases in property taxes on record, but despite that slow growth New Jersey&#8217;s average of $8,767 ranks No. 1 nationwide.<\/i>\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 18pt;\">Well Phil you seem to be stuck on raising taxes and not fixing the high tax problem. It is time for you to go and please do it quickly. The people of New Jersey do not need higher taxes nor a fake give back program that does not end the tax and spend cycle that our legislature is in love with.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 18pt;\">So do the people of New Jersey a favor and resign as Governor.
