\"The<\/a>The vaccine controversy is coming to a head and it is more than likely the cause for the rise of whooping cough and measles cases in this country. Measles<\/a> has shown its ugly self back in public again and it all started at Disneyland<\/a>. That\u2019s right, I said Disneyland where many children congregate. A real fun place turned into a place where you can catch a disease that everyone thought was gone from the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Vaccination for childhood diseases has become a fight between<\/a> those who blame many vaccines for their child developing Autism and those who say that vaccination has nothing to do with getting Autism. There are other diseases that are being linked with having vaccinations, such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder<\/a> (ADHD or ADD) and Diabetes.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While there are no real studies linking childhood vaccinations with getting the above mentioned diseases many parents are linking the Measles Mumps Rubella (MMR) vaccine with causing them. They point out that soon after getting this shot their children develop problems, such as Autism, etc. Many doctors state that those that are against giving the MMR to children have no credible studies to show a cause and effect between getting the MMR and the diseases they claim it can cause.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There is a great danger here and it is that by not having your child vaccinated, you could lose him or her to a disease that could have been prevented. Or even worse cause another to die or become sick because your child was not vaccinated. You must remember that measles was pronounced as eradicated in the United States in 2000 by the Center for Disease Control (CDC). Now it is back and spreading because of parents who do not have their children vaccinated!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Why are there no studies showing a link between vaccinations and Autism, ADHD, Diabetes, etc. you might ask? Well so many think that the big pharmaceutical companies are hiding these studies from the public and maybe even exerting pressure on the government. If that is true you the public must exert your own pressure to have publicly funded studies done.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the mean time maybe doctors should spread out the time between vaccinations and start them later than sooner. This many help in some cases to prevent children from developing problems such as Autism, if indeed this vaccine can cause them to develop this problem.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While I will not tell you that as a parent you have to have your child(ren) vaccinated for the public good, the government does. And good reason the government has required these shots, for without them we would have many epidemics of diseases that could been easily prevented.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I know that this is a very controversial and hot topic that will be debated by those who have children, it is my hope that the government will carry out a very public study that definitely shows that there is or is not a connect to having your child vaccinated.<\/span><\/p>\n
