Christopher J. Christie right now is making the decision whether to run for President or stay Governor of our state, thus severing out his second term as Governor. I am going to go out on a limb and say that we as a state need him to stay Governor more than the country needs him as President.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our Governor is far from perfect and he is showing signs of stress from the rigor of making the decision to run or not run for President<\/a>. His trip to Great Britain has him yelling at reporters and then refusing to hold press conferences. That is not a good thing for a Presidential hopeful to do and it does not bode well for a possible President to act out like he did.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Also, I think that he acts as a bulwark against the Democratic Liberals and their zest for over spending, larger government and oppressive laws; that they seem to favor as a whole.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I am going to quote from the state of New Jersey website<\/a> what it says about Christie:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cChris Christie was sworn in as Governor of New Jersey on January 19, 2010, and re-elected to a second term on November 5, 2013. <\/span><\/p>\n

Under Governor Christie, New Jersey has taken on the biggest and toughest challenges with real solutions and bipartisan cooperation. He has implemented an aggressive reform agenda to restore fiscal integrity and accountability to state and local government; lowered New Jersey\u2019s property taxes; reformed the state\u2019s pension and health benefits system; and improved public education to ensure every child has access to a quality education. <\/span><\/p>\n

In his first term, Governor Christie fought for and achieved passage of a 2 percent cap on property taxes; landmark public employee pension and health benefit reforms that will save taxpayers over $130 billion over the next 30 years; four balanced budgets that did not raise taxes; and $2.35 billion in job-creating tax cuts. After years of decline, New Jersey\u2019s economy has turned around, and more than 143,100 private sector jobs have been added under Governor Christie\u2019s watch.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

While the statement is correct, in fact he only started down the path to fixing our many problems. And now in his second term Christie has put down his leadership baton and started to neglect his obligation to this state and its people. We are far from having our tax problems being fixed, the state\u2019s pension and health systems are in dire straits, our education system needs a lot of attention and without his leadership our political situation could return to what it was under John Corzine<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The fact that the Governor of our state has ambitions is not something that is unexpected or any sort of surprise, but what is that he has begun to neglect his duties as Governor. And chase a dream that many others are doing. What is best for him may be very bad for this state and its people.<\/span><\/p>\n

He has even given a 2015 State of the State<\/a> that was very vague and had no vision in it. I am very worried and troubled that if Christie runs for President, we the people of this state will suffer because of it.<\/span><\/p>\n
