[symple_spacing size=”80″]It is New Years Eve again and I thought that it would be appropriate that you should sing my version of that old New Years favorite, Auld Lang Syne.

So here it is and remember it will sound better after a few drinks.  At least it does to me!

Should odd acquaintances be forgot,
And never brought to unwind?

This song originated as a poem by Robert Burns during the Eighteenth Century and is set to tune from a traditional Scottish folksong.  It symbolized new beginnings and endings.  You hear it on New Years Eve here in the United States, but it is sung traditionally all over the world.

So maybe you should try to sing with a Scottish Brogue or not.  Just have fun with it and do not try to understand everything in it!
