What is important here in New Jersey?

New Jersey Future

What is important here in New Jersey? Well one state legislator thinks that we could save money if cars had only one license plate instead of two. Others want to raise the minimum wage to $15.00 per hour and another piece of proposed legislation wants to exclude certain properties from the Highlands Preservation Area.

How do these people think that they in any way represent the people that have elected them to office? With are property taxes so high people are moving out of the state; all you have to do is just look around your neighborhood to see the For Sale signs and ask the people selling why are they are leaving? I bet you will find that most will say that the tax burden has become overwhelming and it just better for them to leave this state to go where the taxes are not oppressive.

For a good example of stupidity just take a look at what are legislators want to do to raise more funds for the supposedly broke Transportation Trust Fund; without telling you that the fund is not dedicated and its funds can be stolen to pay for some other dumb project or idea! Or how about the idea of a state sandwich? Yes I said sandwich! What a waste of our taxpayer money and all these people seem to do is spend taxpayer money mostly on their pet projects.

I do not understand why there is no great public outcry again all the stupidity coming out of Trenton, are we all just a bunch of sheep to be sheared of all our money by our so called state representatives? Or are there those who are afraid for so unknown reason who want change for the better and yet keep quite? Well I am shouting from my rooftop for someone, anyone who will start our legislators down the path that will lead us toward the goal of lowering our taxes to a much more fair and tolerable level. Be they a Democrat or Republican or an Independent or whatever we desperately need someone to lead and not be a follower!

Only you the New Jersey voter have the power to do something about the desperate situation we find ourselves in here in the Garden State. Raising taxes on the rich will just cause them to relocate out of this great state and adding further tax burdens upon the rest of us will/is driving a great many you out of the state too. It is my hope that someone will standup and say “Enough is enough.” Tell your elected state officials that we need to encourage the growth of businesses, not tax them to death and public projects that are done at reasonable costs that improve our lives.

Let us all start by telling the legislature to do something that will fix this state and not do things that will further damage it.

That is my opinion- Jumpin Jersey Mike
