Murphy is just unrealistic

Governor Murphy is just unrealistic and he does not seem to understand that free college is a bad idea.

Murphy is pitching free community college that excludes the middle class and favors those who are poorest. These potential students already receive government aid and for the most part would not benefit from the plan that the governor is pushing for.

Per Bloomberg, “His spending proposal offers little relief to those attending four-year schools in a state with the nation’s fourth-priciest public-university system. The increasing cost of such schools has helped drive the U.S. student-debt pile higher than that for credit cards, automobiles or home equity, and a rising default rate echoes the mortgage binge that caused 2008’s housing meltdown.

And I must point out the fact that there is already a free program for those who are good students called NJ Stars. Those who meet the requirements of this get a free ride at one of 19 community colleges. While this program is dependent on how well a student does scholastically, it does not matter how much or little money the student or there family has. Unlike Murphy’s proposal this is a program that currently exists and does work, so why do we need what the governor is proposing? My answer is that the governor’s proposal is a left wing progressive pipe-dream that would further drain the budget and also would cause damage to the NJ Stars program.

Under Murphy’s unrealistic program proposal “New Jersey, whose average household income of $73,702 ranks it third among U.S. states, also has has some of the highest living costs. Under Murphy’s plan, taxpayers would cover the bill next year for 15,000 students with family incomes of less than $45,000.” Just another crazy idea that would not help, but would further drive people out of New Jersey because more money would need to be collected in taxes to pay for it and you can guess where it will come from, the middle class thats’ who!

This is just another stupid, unrealistic proposal by our progressive governor. Murphy needs to wake up and realize that the New Jersey taxpayer does not have the extra money to pay for his pipe-dreams. Especially when there is already a program for those who need it, abet with scholastic requirements that are not unreasonable and the program has a proven track record.

That is my opinion- Jumpin Jersey Mike
