Everything, but Taxes!

Everything, but Taxes!

The New Jersey legislature is addressing many issues and almost completely ignoring the giant problem that this state has. Property taxes are sky high and nothing is really being done to fix this monstrous burden that home owners are saddled with.

What has been addressed recently? Free condoms and whether or not parents should be notified when their child(ren) want to be addressed with a different pronoun than what they were born with.

Governor Murphy and his left-wing cohorts in the legislature do not care about what the citizens of New Jersey want. For instance NJ.com says that 77% of parents want to notified if their child(ren) want to be addressed as a different gender than what they were born with in school. Right now the Attorney General is suing some Monmouth County school districts over this very issue. Both Murphy and Platkin (Attorney General) are holding onto the far let cause as if their lives depended on it. They might get whiplash if they continue to oppose the will of the people.

At least with the free condoms the state will pickup the tab. But then again this is another burden on the New Jersey taxpayer. Whether it is a good or bad thing is irrelevant. It does matter that this will continue to make New Jersey a state where it is very very expensive to live due to our state government spending money like it never will stop flowing out of the taxpayer’s pockets.

I can not understand how this state’s voters keep those legislators in office who continually dodge the problems caused by high taxes. Some day soon this state’s economy will collapse due to not enough money coming in.

The ANCHOR program is a joke! The maximum amount of money you can get is only $1500.00. Another $250.00 if you are 65 years old or older. The average property tax bill is $8,096.00 per the Asbury Park Press. What we get back is just a small fraction of what we pay. And if you make $250,000.00 or more it is only $1000.00. Is this some kind of joke? A mere nineteen percent back.

We need to wake up and vote these jokers out of office. The way taxes are collected to pay for our children’s education is so wasteful and inefficient. It is not funny in any manner you want to look at it.

The state needs to come up with a much better way of both collecting the necessary taxes for schooling our children and a fair formula to distribute the monies our many school systems need to operate.

That is my opinion- Jumpin Jersey Mike
