Something for the NJEA and nothing for us

Jumpin Jersey Mike

There once was a girl from Nantucket that did not have a very big bucket. Her pocketbook was empty and her tummy was full of goo. And she went boo hoo.

Oh, wait a minute I am supposed to be writing a blog about a New Jersey topic. So below is a poem that I hope will not cause you to moan on why your vote is not a joke.

Something for the NJEA and nothing for us…

Now that we voted with our feet, we face a tax hike without a retreat.

Something for everyone that filled their war chest and nothing for us who didn’t do our best to vote.

Isn’t this just something that is fantastic, not very democratic!

What will we do when the taxes are so high that we can not see the sky?

For with all the tax bills piled end on end blotting out the sun that sure will not be fun.

What did we do that was so wrong? That now all we long for is to leave the state without a debate.

Something for the NJEA and nothing for us…

Will NJEA be the political boss over us and will we gloss over the tax truths that will are the fools.

Who are the fools? Those that voted or those who thought that their vote was demoted?

Where have we gone wrong and why is the NJEA saying we are all wrong?

We gave them are all and that is not enough. When will we become tough and say no more taxes for us!

Something for the NJEA and nothing for us…

Hopefully someone will tell the last person to leave New Jersey that we all left in glee and that we flee so we can be tax free!

The NJEA will be by itself and there will be no one to put on a shelf.

Then all will see that we have left because there will be no one on the right or the left who will admit the theft of our money.

So with a heavy heart and an empty wallet, we all will have fled to somewhere where the people are fed.

In the end we have no one to blame, but ourselves. And that ain’t no game!

I just hope you don’t think that this rhyme is some game because it has no name.

For it does and it is called blame.

Blame everyone else, but not ourselves. For will didn’t vote and that is no joke!

Seriously less than twenty percent of New Jersey voters came out and voted this November. Now because NJEA candidates were elected they hold the upper hand. You who did not vote have no one to blame but yourselves for what is about to happen.

That is my opinion- Jumpin Jersey Mike
