Scary clowns are showing up all over the United States causing the local police to suggest that kids dressing up for Halloween not go out as a clown.
Are they dangerous or just kids or other fools just being stupid? Well in most cases the so called scary clowns only exist in people’s imagination and yet there have been some instances where the police have confirmed that a clown has been menacing people.
Per USA Today a clown call that was made on September 21st in Tchula Mississippi, turned out to be true. The Chief of Police, Kenneth Hampton, said he saw someone wearing a mask, a multi-colored wig and overalls around 11 p.m. on Wednesday. The person, who was carrying what looked like a machete, ran away after seeing the patrol vehicle. The person in the clown outfit has not been seen since.
In the state of Florida on September 28th, a woman walking her dog said she saw a person wearing an all white clown costume emerge from behind a tree in Indian River County; the person had red hair and was wearing a mask. The following day, a father called police saying his child and other classmates were chased by a person wearing a clown mask after they got off the bus in the Vero Lake Estates area. Later that night, a child reported seeing a clown. None of the clowns were armed and there were no injuries.
So as far as I am concerned there might, just might be some threat from these scary clowns but, so far none of the sighting have ended with a clown or clowns under arrest or even being questioned. They all seem to disappear and are never caught. And even when they are caught, I am very sure it will be kids trying to have fun.
Does this mean that a large number of people are perpetrating hoaxes throughout the country or are there those who are trying to kidnap or injure others? Well the evidence so far does not favor any real damage or crimes being done by these so called scary clowns.
It might have some connection with an upcoming movie release or Halloween. While no one has been hurt there is just too high of a chance with all of these incidents occurring that someone will get hurt, maybe even seriously. So maybe it is time for those who are trying to have fun by scaring people by dressing up as a clown should rethink what they are doing. The life you wreck might be your own if you dress up as one of these clowns. But let all of us stop panicking at the sight of one of these idiots and remember that there is a person behind the scary mask!
Hopefully all the scary clown sightings will fade away and everyone will start seeing that there is nothing there to be afraid of. In the mean time Boo!
