What is wrong with New Jersey? Our roads are falling apart, over development in many areas, high local taxes and politicians that will not listen to the people of this state is what is wrong!

Even though the gas tax was raised many state and local roads that I drive on are in terrible condition. There have been some work done, but right now on Route 1 in Central New Jersey the Department of Transportation has been replacing the intersection crash barriers. There are pot holes all over the roadway and no signs of any preparation to even fill these pot holes before Winter sets in. Up in the Edison area I hear that there will be a repaving of Route 1, hurray for them! How about the rest of us?

As far as I am concerned the housing where I live in Central New Jersey being built is for those who have a considerable amount of money to spend, little to none in middle to lower income housing is being built. What is needed is middle to lower income housing and not anything else! Enough land is being covered over and the extra cars are further clogging our already overstressed roadways.

Now I have spoken out the excessive taxes in the past that we New Jerseyans have to endure. Many who are moving in from outside the state think that the property taxes are not too high, well they are just dead wrong and further more it is ridiculous that what is driving the taxes up is the cost of schooling our children! The education system is bloated with administrators that just shuffle papers around and have nothing to do with the real process of education. It is time to kick out the people on our local school boards that think that the more money they throw at the education rathole, the better education the children will get. This was and is a fallacy that seems to have a life of its own. Wasting money does not give better results; it just ends up throwing money away on wasteful spending!

What to do about our dim-witted idiots in Trenton is something I do not have an answer to. I only can conjecture that until we the people get a backbone and standup to say no more of this non-sense nothing will change. In the past I have written on this and that about our wonderful (not) politicians but please remember that not all of them are of the ilk that only are interested in their own interests and care nothing about what the people who voted them in want.

I will just end by saying this… May you wake up before it is too late to stop all the above nonsense! For if this does not happen soon we the people of New Jersey are doomed to be sheep forever and things will get much worse!
