It is past time to say that we the American public will no longer stand for the diversive ideas that our political pundits have been expounding since the last presidential election.

We must gather together as a people and we must forget the crazy ideals of the far left and right. Instead we the people of this country should strive for the middle of the road and not stray onto either shoulder. For if we do then political chaos will continue to threaten us!

Those in the media and in political office who have put the idea of there only being a political left and right are the ones who must suffer the shame of being wrong. Americans who make up the true majority, be it a too silent one, are the moderates. Those who stray from what the true majority are the ones who have hurt this country and they should be thrown out of office via the vote.

If you use the excuse that your candidate is of one particular race, religion or gender as the main factor for voting for them; you are just plain ignoring the other factors that are far more important. These include what the candidate actually themselves stand for, not the fact that they tow the party line. Voting on the basis of the above mentioned facts does not take much intelligence nor does it show that you really do care who you vote into office.

Be it on the local, state or federal level each time you vote, you can make a real difference! If you are of the opinion that your vote does not count then do not tell that to any candidate that lost by only a small number of votes, for they would tell you if asked that you could have made that critical difference.

Too many have used the excuse that the firsts, such as first black Governor or President, count more than what the ideals of the candidates are. Stop using the lame excuse that diversity itself should be the deciding factor, for it should not. This is just plain nonsense of those who can not see beyond their own nose what true qualities are needed. Electing the mediocre to office you are doing a disservice to not only yourself, but the rest of your fellow Americans.

We must not be swayed by the nonsensical political rhetoric that we are being bombarded with by those who wish to persuade us that only our political leaders know what is best for us. It is time for you the American voting public to find the truth for yourselves and leave behind those who are trying to mislead you.
