Did you hear that Governor Murphy will now allow gyms to open? But he won’t allow indoor dinning at all.
Beginning September 1st gyms will be allowed to operate at twenty five percent capacity, they will have to do the following: Logging in all members and staff for contact tracing, keeping equipment 6 feet apart, limiting group fitness classes to one person per 200 square feet, all member and staff must wear masks and sanitizing equipment.
Sounds like what a bunch of New Jersey gym owners had already proposed. Cuomo of New York had opened the gyms there on August 24th, maybe his doing that caused Murphy to reconsider.
Murphy seems to be so timid about reopening indoor dinning. It is like he does not seem to understand that he is driving many in the restaurant trade out of business. And it is even worse those that work as wait staff and the people in the kitchen as by now they have no savings left. What will they do if business does not pickup and the only way it can is to have indoor dinning?
This governor’s timidity has severely damaged the economy of New Jersey and yet his budget proposals embody tax rate hikes for the so called rich, i.e. the Millionaire’s tax, more borrowing and to make things even worse a “proposal that New Jersey provide a “baby bond” – a $1,000 deposit into an account for every child born in 2021 to a family making up to $131,000 per year.” Where is this money to come from? The New Jersey taxpayer is who! Murphy is nuts!!
Mr. Murphy should wake up and smell the realities of politics because if he does not, he could find himself out the door next election day.
I can not fathom why the governor can not seem to understand that New Jersey’s citizens are over taxed, over regulated and leaving for cheaper pastures. Murphy seems immune to the reality of this states finance problems and he keeps wanting to spend monies that we do not have in the state treasury. He wants spend on this and that without regard to fiscal reality. Furthermore he thinks he was voted in on a mandate. When in reality voters stayed away in droves and only the left wing Democrats went to the polls in droves.
