This past weekend (early morning hours of Sunday) all hell broke loose at a nightclub in Orlando Florida when a terrorist decided to destroy the lives of members of the LGBT community; just because he hates them. ISIS or ISIL (as the White House calls them) seems to only stand for one thing, religious intolerance. As a group they will not respect your religious beliefs and further more you will be persecuted to death by them. Any small infraction by even those who are followers of ISIS can cause the person who has violated the rules to be punished harshly. A report done by the Pew Research Center from September 2012 states that “of 197 countries and territories, identifies a sharp rise in religious limits globally and a 6% increase in restrictions in the four years until 2010.” Continue reading Religious Intolerance
Is our level of fear high enough to prevent a terrorist attack? Yes I am talking about fear(s) surrounding the watching and waiting for of a terrorist attack here on American soil. Have we become too complacent or are we becoming paranoid about the threats ISIS has been making about an attack here in the United States proper.
Has our national commitment lessened over the years to destroy the evils of this world? It would seem so, as the President and Congress seem to be having a problem with committing ground forces to fight ISIS or as they call them ISIL. Yes we have used air power to attack 
them in Syria, but never have we confronted this group on the ground. We have used surrogates, such as the Kurds, to fight them for us. Continue reading Has our national commitment lessened?
