The era of the red light cameras came to an end in New Jersey at midnight December 16^th 2014, may those who wanted them and still do not realize that it was all a five year rip-off of the driving public. It was never about safety and all about how much money that could be made! The vendors and the public entities who profited from them are still trying to convince us that they made intersections safer. [symple_spacing size=”80″]Are red light cameras going to disappear in December? My answer is maybe.

Why maybe, well Governor Christie seems to have changed his mind on these cameras. He now is leaning toward letting the program die rather than his previous stance of you ran the red light – pay your ticket. If he doesn’t change his mind again, then the red light camera program will die and many will breathe a sigh of relief.
