The great debate of who should be President of the United States is going on, whether or not you have formed an opinion as of yet many people have. There are staunch supporters both for Donald Trump and for Hillary Clinton.
I have watched both debates and found that the first one was rather boring. The second one was much better with more information being talked about, but yet again not enough talk on what each candidate would do. What I am talking about is what they would do once in office.
Both have been rather thin on details and have left it up to the public to fill in the blanks. Of course both Trump and Hillary have told us what is wrong about the other, in their own styles, which kind of rubs me the wrong way. And yet people have early on chosen who they are supporting for President; how they did this I can not really fathom. As both of them have been to close to the vest in how and what they would do once in office.
That is not to say they both have not set out what they would do in general terms, just that I and I would hope many of you want to here the specifics. Yes some things are on their respective websites and we all know in general terms what they both stand for. It is just it seems to me that very few like either of the two major candidates that much and the other candidates do not have much of a chance to spread their message, because they have been locked out of the Presidential debates.
In fact I really would love if somehow we could have a redo of the nomination process and start afresh with two new Republican and Democratic candidates. And yes I know that this is foolish idea!
So the great debate will go on until the election in November and yes someone will win the Presidency. I know that this great country of ours will survive no matter which one of them wins. The question is what damage will they inflect upon our country while in office? Hopefully little to none and maybe there will be some positive things that will come out of their Presidency.
