Time for some good news!

End of the rainbow

With all the bad news that is being reported I thought that it is time for some good news!

For me this all started with a report that one of the survivors of the Las Vegas attack is making a good recovery. Her name is Tina Frost and she “was shot in the head by Stephen Paddock on Oct. 1, who killed 58 people and wounded hundreds more. The bullet passed through Frost’s right eye and shattered the front of her skull and forehead. She underwent surgery for three hours at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center on the night of the shooting, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.” Further more, “At first, Frost was unable to move her extremities. But she began waking up and took her first steps without assistance on Friday, according to an update from her mother Mary Watson Moreland on a GoFundMe page collecting donations for Tina’s medical expenses. Her mother also says that Tina managed to breathe on her own for six hours. “We are so proud of our Tina, and everyone is amazed at every single movement she makes,” Moreland said. In other milestones, Frost managed to open her left eye, tapped her feet when music was played and gave a thumbs up when asked.”

The facts of Tina waking up from her coma so quickly and being able to walk without assistance was so uplifting that I tweeted about it on Twitter. It is so good to hear good news rather than all the negative emotion draining news that we hear all day being reported to the public by the networks.

So I wanted more good news and here are just a few sources that I came across. The first is called Good News Network and it has gobs of non-negative news. Secondly is Sunny Skyz another good news source with pictures, video and inspiring stories.

I personally think that hearing more about the good things that are happening in this world of ours far out weighs all the negative spin that the networks tend to report. After all the networks are trying to get the best ratings that they can without a thought to how all the negative news that they report might cause people to feel a little low upon hearing their reporting.

So I say let us all look for the good uplifting news and try to put a positive spin on all the negative news that is being reported to the public.

That is my opinion- Jumpin Jersey Mike
