New Jersey via the Progressives is going just nuts and the latest is assisted suicide.
Our Governor Murphy and the heads of the Senate and Assembly are steam rolling their way their way through their agenda and ignoring the people’s agenda, of which the most important being the lowering of taxes across the board to make this state affordable for all.
Per Patch.com, “The assisted suicide bill, S-1072, entitled the “Medical Aid in Dying for the Terminally Ill Act,” would allow adults to end their lives as long as they have the capacity to make health care decisions. Their physicians also have to determine if they are terminally ill.” Also, “The legislation, which says that patients may self-administer the medication to assist in the process, was approved by the Senate Health, Human Services & Senior Citizens Committee vote by a 6-3 vote. The bill needs the full Legislature’s approval and Murphy’s signature in order to become law. “This is the humane and dignified process that respects the free will of terminally ill patients,” said Scutari, D-Union. “We should permit qualified patients to make the decision to end their own life in a dignified manner. There is no good reason for them to be forced to prolong their pain and suffering or to prolong the grief of their loved ones if they make that choice.””
The assumptions that this law makes and it’s provisions are just what the progressives think is a terribly important issue and yet they seem to not care that they are taxing to death the people of New Jersey.
They talk about dignity in death and other buzz words that sound good, but sidestep the issues that they truly should be addressing. It is well past time to say to both houses of the legislature and the governor that we the people of New Jersey are fed-up with their so called self important issues. What must be addressed is the humiliation caused by the losing of home(s) because they can no longer pay the exorbitant property taxes that no one cares to address in either house our legislature.
I say ‘Stop this non-issue nonsense and address what counts, the outrageous cost of living and working here in New Jersey!’ Also I must add that the crazy polarization of politics is killing this state and both parties are responsible.
