It looks like Governor Murphy will allow Halloween to happen within certain conditions. What those will be we have not been told yet.

Per Patch.com Murphy said, Obviously it’s not going to be a normal Halloween, so we’re going to have to do things very carefully.” Furthermore the governor said protocols will be put into place, such as mask-wearing and social distancing. But as of today nothing has been finalized.

Personally I can not see any traditional Halloween Trick or Treating taking place. For the governor to let that happen there probably would need to have the vaccine ready and people been given their shots. I really think that there is little chance of that happening.

So what will replace the house to house Trick or Treating or the party? I would guess that since indoor gatherings must be limited to 25 people or 25% of a room’s capacity (whichever number is lower), how you figure that out I am not sure, Murphy will have to explain that when the time comes. Plus all attendees at indoor gatherings of course must wear face coverings and stay six feet apart.

I just can not see little kids celebrating Halloween in any of the normal ways this year. Somehow I feel that we can not let this holiday pass without some way of giving the little ones some candy. Otherwise it is more candy for the rest of us adults.

That is my opinion- Jumpin Jersey Mike
